How good is Jimmie Johnson?
Quick Statistics. Starts: 251 Top 10s: 154 (over 60%) Top 5s: 99 (almost 40%) Wins: 39 (over 15%), two championships and a third, but all locked up. I'm not a big fan of Jimmie, but the man must give their accessories for his career. So my point is that Jimmie is an awesome pilot, but probably not in the top five largest, but still a great driver, but what is unique about of the 48's all the time is impressive, from Team Leader to tire changer for the guy hanging the bodies on the 48. Given no major defections team 48. (trust me, other owners throw a lot of money to members of championship teams) This equipment can be a force for years to come. Look at Jimmie, that is only 33 years of age, the averages of NASCAR, which has at least 10 years more competitive by winning 6 races a year. Do you think Jeff will Gordon at the time he hangs up his Helment? The numbers say yes.
Jimmie is awesome! No, he is not in the Top 5 of the greats of all time still on the list, but will by the time you retire, I'm sure. This team is so great, because they all have chemistry, there is everything, but on four of the original members the team is working together, no other team has that.There is so deep in this team and organization. I think it will run at least 10 more years and many championships.As more victories and as far as passing Gordon goes, will have to see what comes out when Gordon retires.The field is more competitive these days than they were in the first Gordon (not saying that drivers were not great because he had Earnhardt, Martin, Wallace, Racing etc. Furthermore, there are just more drivers capable of winning in a given week than ever) and the tolerances are more stringent and crews have less room for innovation than they did, the most egalitarian Ray Evernham said it himself in NASCAR Now yesterday.At same time, it is difficult to compare drivers in different times (as we have seen here before), but I think it will close if not surpass him.

NASCAR has been taking a lot of heat in the Chase format in racing. The problem? A Mr. Johnson has dominated the last three years and has been around the world looking like a shoe in this year too.
Jimmie Johnson's assault on their goal of a fourth consecutive championship looked at all, but once is performed through Talladega without being caught in the "Big One". He stayed only three races in the Chase and appeared before the wind. Even drivers closest to him, Mark Martin and Jeff Gordon were talking about racing for second place.
Then something funny. Jimmie Johnson wrecked and finished ending in the 30s. The powers that be in NASCAR and ABC / ESPN dropped to his knees and thanked the gods of racing. So did Jeff Gordon and Mark Martin. With two races, which seemed a defeat is now a real championship. The question is whether Johnson can be caught before the flag drops frames in Homestead?

Austin is one of the fastest growing cities not only in Texas but nationwide. With more homes being built and people moving in, it is not surprising that many people are looking for things to do in Austin. If you are looking for a place to go or do something that will not break the budget, look no further than these activities free in and around Austin.
Texas State Capitol
The Texas State Capitol is a great place to visit at least once, especially if you have schoolchildren. The capital is located at 1100 Congress Avenue. There are daily tours of the Capitol building and on the morning touring the Governor's Mansion, all for free. The Capitol grounds contain 22 acres with 17 monuments, in addition to the Capitol building.
The Congress Avenue Bats
For this free activity, will time for your visit, between March and early fall. Each summer, about 1.5 million Mexican free-tailed bats come to Austin and are the largest colony urban bat in North America. They live under the bridge, Ann W. Richards Congress Avenue. Stand on the bridge near sunset and then watch the bats come out after dark.
Campus of the University of Texas and Museums
The UT campus itself is a great place to visit for free. The campus is historic architecture and history. View the The University of Texas and the tower of the Littlefield Fountain. The Harry Ransom Center is a museum housing the world's first free photography and a certified copy of the Gutenberg Bible. Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum also features many cultural and historic houses. Finally, UT will host the Memorial Museum 21 acres of parkland. There are many theme gardens on the grounds, including romantic rose garden, butterfly garden and Japanese garden. There is also a prehistoric garden areas reflecting past as a major dinosaur roaming the grounds during the Cretaceous period.
Blues on the Green
If you are a fan of blues music, will appreciate this series of free concerts each summer. Sponsored by 107.1 KGSR, Blues on the Green Paper is normally held in the Park Zilker (although in 2009 festivities in Waterloo Park, due to construction projects). Local musicians like Marcia Ball, Los Lonely Boys and Jimmy Vaughan, have been part of event in the past.
Hartman Foundation Concerts in the Park
During the months of May through August you can take this series of free concerts held in Hartman Concert Park. Classical, pop, jazz and cinema results are interpreted by sets of the Austin Symphony.
Movies in the Park in Republic Square
The Austin Parks Foundation sponsors this event every summer at Republic Square Park. The films are outdoor screen and residents are invited to bring their blankets, chairs and picnic tables. The movies begin at dusk.
