Coca Cola Bottle

Without water, humans could not exist. Water is essential for life, is life. The situation is now more and more people wonder if bottled water is safe, or at least safer than tap water because bottled water is everywhere and that billions of gallons or gallons consumed each year by a trend growing. We are convinced that it is the purest drink around. However, according to Eric Goldstein, co-director of the NRDC (U.S. Natural Resources Defense Council), nobody should think that bottled water is better regulated, better protected or safer than tap water. Of course, a bottle of water comes from sparkling springs, but more than 25 percent of it comes from municipal water. For example, Coca-Cola's Dasani comes from Brampton, Ontario and Pepsi's Aquafina brand comes from municipal water Philadelphia. The water is treated, purified and sold to consumers at an increased price per thousand, and most people are surprised to learn that they are drinking tap water glorified, but bottlers are not required to state their sources of water on their labels. There is a case in the U.S., the water from a well located near a hazardous waste – the site was sold to many bottlers to label their products as "spring water".

HEALTH RISKS OF BOTTLED WATER

According to a series studies, the claims of the purity of some bottles of water are far from the truth and not as pure as can be expected. In 1999 the NRDC tested more than 1000 103 brands of bottled water and the organization found that a sample of one third of the brands contained bacterial or chemical contaminants bacteria at levels higher standards and the risk remains. The organization also found that samples of two brands were contaminated with phthalates, in one case exceeds the standards of EPA's tap water. Phthalates are used to make soft plastic that can affect normal body functions. It is likely that you got into the water during processing in the bottling plant, or were present in the original water source. Ohio State has compared Cleveland tap water to 57 samples of bottled water. They found that while most brands of bottled water many municipal water use and now drinks only filtered tap water. The water from their taps is probably safe. If you are not sure, have it tested and choose a filter. Most cities publish annual water analysis on their websites. Filtered water and thus eliminating harmful chemicals, such as aluminum.
Filters can be supplied by companies known and delivered to your home. Take steps now to protect yourself and your family. The choice is yours.
