Given no major defections team 48. (trust me, other owners throw a lot of money to members of championship teams) This equipment can be a force for years to come. Look at Jimmie, that is only 33 years of age, the averages of NASCAR, which has at least 10 years more competitive by winning 6 races a year. Jimmie is awesome! No, he is not in the Top 5 of the greats of all time still on the list, but will by the time you retire, I'm sure. This team is so great, because they all have chemistry, there is everything, but on four of the original members the team is working together, no other team has that.There is so deep in this team and organization. I think it will run at least 10 more years and many championships.As more victories and as far as passing Gordon goes, will have to see what comes out when Gordon retires.The field is more competitive these days than they were in the first Gordon (not saying that drivers were not great because he had Earnhardt, Martin, Wallace, Racing etc. Furthermore, there are just more drivers capable of winning in a given week than ever) and the tolerances are more stringent and crews have less room for innovation than they did, the most egalitarian Ray Evernham said it himself in NASCAR Now yesterday.At same time, it is difficult to compare drivers in different times (as we have seen here before), but I think it will close if not surpass him.
